Dr Stevenson graduated from the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom in 2011 with a medical degree and a Bachelor of Medical Science (Applied Orthopaedic Technology). He then went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in Surgical Science whilst working within the NHS, which included rotations in Orthopaedics and Emergency Medicine.
In 2014, he moved to Australia to take up a position at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Emergency Medicine. An interest in Sports & Exercise Medicine then led to positions with various sporting organisations such as East Tigers Rugby League and the Gold Coast Suns.
Dr Stevenson has a particular interest in managing athletes in contact sports, as well as up-and-coming athletes, and performing athlete screening. He specialises in the management of all forms of musculoskeletal injuries, including tendinopathies and fractures, and exercise prescription for chronic disease management (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease). Furthermore, he has conducted research into the biomechanics of the lower limb.
