Dr Thomas McWilliams

About Me:

Dr Thomas McWilliams is a Registrar with the Australasian College of Sports and Exercise Physicians. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pennsylvania in the USA graduating with Summa Cum Laude honours and a Doctor of Medicine from Griffith University on the Gold Coast receiving the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence. Currently, he is the Assistant Doctor for the Brisbane Broncos NRL as well as the Brisbane Broncos Academy Doctor. In addition to this, he is Head Doctor for Brisbane Tigers Rugby League (Queensland Cup) and Southport Sharks VFL and QAFLW teams. Thomas also provides match day medical coverage for A-League and has worked with Football Australia National Teams. Practice areas of interest include acute sport injuries, concussion, tendon pain, bone stress fractures, and ultrasound guided injections including platelet rich plasma (PRP), cortisone, and osteoarthritis injections of hyaluronic acid.
