Dr Brent Whittaker

About Me:

Dr Brent Whittaker is a Registrar with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP). Dr Whittaker graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2019 completing Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Studies degrees. Dr Whittaker has worked in major trauma centres in New South Wales and Queensland in a variety of specialties. The majority of his time within the public health sector focused in Orthopaedics as a registrar before he pivoted to his passion of Sports Medicine. During this time he also accomplished a Masters of Traumatology (majoring in Orthopaedics) at the University of Newcastle. Dr Whittaker has been game day doctor for local female soccer teams, U19s State of Origin teams, VFL teams, and is currently the Brisbane Lions VFL and Norths Devils QRL team doctor. Brent strongly believes exercise is medicine and personally enjoys triathlon, gym, rugby league, and touch football. Bookings can be made for consultation with Brent predominantly at BSEMS or alternatively at Allsports, Mt Gravatt, on Thursday afternoons.
